Save The Date: Shine 2023 29th & 30th June
We are excited to announce our Shine performance dates for 2023. All students in Prep-6 and Secondary Ensemble Groups will be involved in our end of Term 2 celebration performance. There will be 2 performances: 29th June Evening Performance and 30th June Grandparents’ Day Matinee.
Further information about your child’s involvement and costume requirements will come from their class teachers early next term.
MCS Private Buses
To help our busy families get their children safely to and from school, we currently run two private bus services for families living in the Fern Bay/Stockton area, South Street Medowie, Raymond Terrace and Brandy Hill. For our families currently using one of these services, you should have received your 2023 bus contract, route and timetable earlier this week. If you have not yet received it, please contact Therese on 4052 3308 or via email.
In Term 2, we will be commencing a bus route to Thornton and Chisholm. Any families wishing to use this new service, or one of our existing bus services, please contact Therese on 4052 3308 or via email.
Uniform Shop Reminder
Remember, Alinta Apparel are moving the Uniform Shop to online only, commencing in Term 2. Their final day of trade in the shop is Friday, 31st March. To assist families with uniforms and uniform fittings, Alinta are opening for extended trading hours next week, as follows:
Monday 27th March: 8am - 1pm
Wednesday 29th March: 1pm - 4:30pm
Friday 27th March: 8am - 1pm
Car Park Reminders
Thank you to all our parents who are constantly mindful of the safety of our students in the car park during drop off and pick up times throughout the school day. A few simple reminders to ensure we continue to keep everyone safe, and traffic moving:
Please ensure students are dropped off quickly in the ‘Kiss and Go’ area near the Medowie Overflow Church steps. This area is a ‘No Parking’ zone between 8am-9am, but parking is permitted there in the afternoon.
If you wish to walk your children into school please use the regular parking spaces in the carpark.
Parking spaces marked ‘Medowie Medical Centre’ should be left vacant for patients of the medical centre.
Please don’t park in the disabled car park in our school car park, even if you are just stopping to drop off your child/ren.
