T3, Week 5
Science Week Experiments
This Science Week, our Primary campus was transformed into a bustling hub of curiosity, awe, and hands-on discovery! From Prep through to Year 6, students immersed themselves in interactive experiments directly in their classrooms, igniting a genuine love for learning. The week was packed with unforgettable "aha!" moments across every grade. Prep gasped in amazement during a mind-blowing Dry Ice Show, while Kinder was thrilled to watch Year 10 display their self-propelled cars, interacting with them in small groups to explore how they worked. Year 1 explored vibrant color reactions along with physical and chemical changes, Year 2 designed custom cups and stockings to grow their very own plants, and Year 3 launched bottle rockets high into the sky to test force and propulsion. Meanwhile, Year 5 tackled a tricky liquid density challenge and investigated life cycles with real mealworms, and Year 6 set tomato seeds in petri dishes to study gravitropism.
The energy throughout our classrooms was electric, filled with wide eyes and excited chatter. A highlight for our younger learners? Discovering that Mrs Lukins is a real scientist, a revelation that left a few completely shocked! A huge thank you to Mrs Lukins, who made this incredible week of wonder possible for our students!

Celebrating Year 3 Learning
Year 3 has been buzzing with curiosity and creativity right now with so many exciting things going on! In Science and Visual Arts, students launched into space by studying the solar system, testing friends and family with custom Kahoot quizzes about the sun, and constructing a mammoth solar system art display on our back wall, which we are now decorating with fascinating planetary facts.
History lessons have deepened our appreciation for First Nations peoples and their enduring connection to Country through culture, stories and language. Meanwhile, in English, we explored high modality language through Matilda and have started to unravel the rich history of Nadia Wheatley’s My Place. In Mathematics, students have been busy mastering mixed numbers, sharpening their subtraction strategies and converting measurements of length.
Beyond the classroom, our Stage 2 athletes are showing incredible energy and school spirit. Our boys and girls futsal clubs are in full swing with over 40 enthusiastic participants, and even more students stepped up to try out for our Stage 2 outdoor soccer teams. We are so proud of everyone for giving it their all!
Looking ahead, the excitement continues to build as we prepare to welcome our school community. We cannot wait to host all of our families next week for Grandparents Day and the Book Parade!

Book Week
Book Week is coming! Book Week will be held this term from Monday, 24th to Friday, 28th of August (Week 6). The theme of this year’s Book Week is Symphony of Stories! The week will be filled with activities and challenges designed to instill in your child an excitement for reading and storytelling.
Book week will incorporate a Book Fair, Book Parade and coincide with Grandparents Day. All details about Book Week can be found on a dedicated page for Book Week:
