Keen Bean Canteen Notice
There is a slight change to service next week (Week 6) with the Keen Bean Canteen unable to take online orders on Thursday 27th August, counter service will still be available. The Canteen will run as normal Wednesday and Friday and resume normal operations in Week 7.

Father's Day Stall & Breakfast
We will be running our Father’s Day Stall on Thursday 3rd September from 9:00am. We have a fantastic range of gifts costing $5 each. Primary students are required to pay in cash and will attend with their class throughout the day. Secondary students are able to pay with cash or card during the 1st and 2nd break.
We are also seeking parent volunteers to be able to assist with students purchasing gifts at the stall. If you are able to help on the day please email Laura Gill. To be able to volunteer in this capacity a current Working with Children Check is required.
All families are warmly invited to celebrate the amazing father figures within our school community. To honour the impact they have on our lives, we will be holding a scrumptious breakfast on Friday 4th September from 7:30am – 8:30am. This event will be held outside The Lighthouse (or inside The Lighthouse if the weather is inclement). We look forward to celebrating this special morning with you!
Strengthening Device Security
As part of our ongoing commitment to safeguarding student and staff data, we want to share an important system update regarding our Okta login environment.
While Okta 2FA has always been our standard security protocol to protect our organisation’s networks, our Okta platform is now enforcing 2FA across all devices.
Because of this automated platform requirement, all users (including Primary School Students) must meet Okta’s security criteria to maintain uninterrupted access to their learning applications.
What this means:
Staff & Students: All staff and students will now be prompted by Okta to complete 2FA during login.
Primary School Devices: To satisfy Okta's security requirement, all student iPads and MacBooks must have a secure device passcode or password enabled.
We recognise that device setup can sometimes be challenging for parents who are less familiar with technology. To help ensure a smooth transition, you can follow these step-by-step instructions:
How to Set a Passcode on an iPad
Open Settings: Tap the Settings app (the grey gear icon) on the iPad home screen.
Go to Touch ID / Face ID & Passcode: Scroll down the left-hand menu and tap Touch ID & Passcode (or Face ID & Passcode, depending on your iPad model).
Turn Passcode On: Tap Turn Passcode On.
Create Your Passcode: Either, enter a 6-digit passcode or Tap Passcode Options and select a standard 4-digit code. This is recommended for younger students.
Confirm the Passcode: Re-enter the same passcode to confirm it.
How to Set a Login Password on a MacBook
Open System Settings: Click the Apple icon in the top-left corner of the screen and select System Settings (or System Preferences on older macOS versions).
Navigate to Touch ID & Password: In the left sidebar, scroll down and click Touch ID & Password (or Users & Groups on older Macs).
Change or Add Password: Under your user account name, click Change… or Add Passcode / Password.
Enter & Confirm New Password: Type your new password into the New Password field, then re-enter it in the Verify field.
Set a Password Hint (Optional): Add a hint to help remember it if forgotten, then click Change Password (or Done) to save.
