HRIS Cross Country Carnival

On Friday, students from Years 3 to 12 ventured to the HRIS Cross Country Carnival at Avondale College. It was a fantastic day and the children were very competitive against a strong field of students from schools across our region. A big thank you to Avondale for hosting this event. It’s wonderful to partner with other schools that share similar goals for sport. Stay tuned next week for more HRIS Cross Country updates on results from this day.

Thredbo Mountain Biking Camp - An Absolute Blast!

During the last week of Term One, some very fortunate and excited students from Years 7-12 gathered at school early on Sunday morning, loaded their bikes and luggage on the bus and headed off to Thredbo for our annual Mountain Bike Camp. I am thrilled to report that the weather was perfect, the students stretched their skills across the range of challenging tracks and everyone returned safely on Thursday evening. We want to say a massive thank you to Victoria, from the Happy Wanderers Lodge at Thredbo, who went over and above to look after us all while we were in Thredbo. Thank you to everyone at home for your prayers while we were away. Thank you to Mr Davis who attended the camp with us.

We are excited about the opportunities our outstanding Mountain Bike program offers MCS students and we look forward to more MTB activities throughout the year.

MTB Lunch Times

A reminder that students can participate in our ‘lunch time’ mountain bike program, on our very own mountain bike track at school, every Tuesday and Wednesday.

Please enjoy some photos from the trip.
