Our Culture of Community - Meeting Together
In Week 2 we have the opportunity to continue building on our culture and community as we welcome parents and students to Parent/Teacher Interviews on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon/evenings here at MCS.
Interviews will be held in the Lighthouse and will run for 10 minutes each with 5 minutes to transition between sessions. We highly encourage our students to attend these sessions with their parents and our academic team. The purpose of our time together is to focus on areas of growth for each child and to equip families with helpful suggestions for supporting learning at home. These are wonderful opportunities to promote and strengthen the partnership between families, learners and their teaching team. We are looking forward to meeting with and hearing from you next week.
Stepping into Service - Our Student Leaders
We are blessed with a wonderful Student Leadership Team at MCS who continue to step up and represent the broader Medowie Christian School community with excellence. These young men and women continue to work collaboratively to raise the profile of our school and enhance our culture through service and care. I would like to acknowledge and thank our student leaders for their involvement already this term in representing MCS at both the ANZAC Day Dawn Service in Medowie and our school based ANZAC Service. We are continuing to build the leadership culture and opportunities for our students and I am hopeful we’ll see many further opportunities for our students to step into service here at MCS.
Free Elevate Webinar - How to Help Get (& Keep) Your Child Motivated

We’re excited to announce that on Wednesday 10th May, Elevate Education will be hosting its first free webinar of the term for parents.
Elevate Education works with our students, delivering high impact workshops on study skills, motivation, wellbeing, and exam preparation. By tuning into their webinar series you will learn how you can better support your children at home through reinforcing the skills they learn at school.
Elevate will be covering:
What impact does praise and reassurance have on your child’s motivation?
What are the best types of goals to be setting with your child?
How can you help your child create meaningful and lasting motivation?
