Musicaviva Incursion
We are excited to welcome Musicaviva performers ‘Timmy and the Breakfast Band’ to our school on Wednesday 3rd May. Concerts will be held in the MPC at 9am for Years 5-8, and 10am for Prep-Year 4. The performers use Banjo, Mandolin, Cello, Musical Saw and acrobatic circus skills to demonstrate how music can be used to communicate different emotions.
Students have been exploring storytelling and musical elements in The Flight of the Bumble Bee (Rimsky Korsakov), Feudin’ Banjos, Brahm’s Lullaby and the Folk Song Yankee Doodle in preparation for Musicaviva.
VIBE and Primary Choir Performances
Our VIBE (Secondary Vocal Ensemble) and Primary Choir performed beautifully at our school Anzac Service on Wednesday. Congratulations to all students who participated and have freely given up their lunchtimes to rehearse in preparation.
We look forward to our next performances for SHINE at the end of Term 2.
