T2, Week 1
Welcome back!
It has been wonderful to welcome our students back for Term 2. The term began with great energy, despite the rainy days, marked by a respectful ANZAC Service in honour of our veterans. Our Secondary students demonstrated commitment and school spirit whilst competing at our HRIS Cross Country day. Today, our Stage 6 Music students have been involved in the HSC Music Day at the Newcastle Conservatorium of Music, while our Stage 5 Agriculture students have been engaging in hands-on learning at Tocal Agricultural College.
There are many exciting opportunities for our young people across this term, and we pray these will continue to enhance their learning and spark passion in their hearts.
Thanks to Year 7
As part of our Invictus program, our Year 7 students embraced the opportunity to give back to our school community through a meaningful act of service. With great heart and initiative, they chose to focus on the stairways (areas most frequently used by our visitors and families) to ensure they were clean, welcoming, and cared for.
We warmly congratulate Year 7 for the enthusiasm, teamwork, and pride they displayed throughout this service project.
“I think the stairs should be cleaned often, and we learned how to communicate well and work as a team—they look really good now,” said Morgan.
Henry added that it was “fun splashing water as we cleaned,” while Asher reflected that it was a “good way to serve the community.”
Tima shared, “We learned to look after our environment, and I think everyone will think twice before littering—why would we go to all this effort and then not look after it?”

Winter Uniform
As we head into the cooler weather, our students begin to wear their Full Formal Winter Uniform from Monday, Week 3. If families are finding a shortage of winter items and/or sizes, please email MCSStudentServices@acc.edu.au or your child’s CareGroup teacher to let us know.
Please also refer to the Uniform information and Uniform Policy in the Whole School News for further details.
Year 7 Vaccinations
Each year, NSW Health works in partnership with schools to offer the recommended vaccines for our young people. They will be onsite on Wednesday 21st May, for Year 7 Vaccinations. Families can go to the NSW Health website and follow the guidelines to give consent. For further information, please visit: health.nsw.gov.au/schoolvaccination
