T1, Week 6
Chapel
This week in Chapel we were continuing our theme of Hope. Mrs Coates shared about her family, and her loves and, of course, showed us how Mathematics can link with the Word of God. Did you know that the word ‘Hope’ is mentioned in the New Testament 180 times!

International Women’s Day
On 8th March, we celebrate International Women’s Day. We stop to recognise the impact that our mothers, wives, grandmothers, sisters, cousins, aunts and friends have upon us. We stop to reflect upon the women role models who have been in our lives and who have helped shape and moulded us.
To all the women in our community, we say thank you for the seen and unseen things you do for us.
This week our Senior Women Leaders had the honour of attending the International Women’s Breakfast at Murrook Cultural Centre. The girls were challenged with the idea that they can do anything they put their minds to. They met Hon Kate Washington and Hon Meryl Swanson who spurred them on to do great things. They laughed, they shared, they were encouraged and they were reminded to stay true to the powerful role models that women can be for others.

Assessment/Homework Help
Students are encouraged to come along to Assessment Help in M25 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays during lunchtimes where there will be several teachers there to assist.
Study Skills sessions are coming up for all Secondary students so they will be equipped with skills to help them be productive learners.
Excursions
Our Year 11 and 12 Music and Visual Arts students recently embarked on a trip to Sydney to draw inspiration from the top HSC Major Works of 2023. They visited the Art Express exhibition at the Art Gallery of NSW, where they were astonished by the talent and creativity showcased in each student's work. Following this, they attended Encore at the Sydney Opera House, where they were enthralled by performances from talented young musicians from across the state. The immense creative energy and talent witnessed during the trip have left a lasting impression on our students and have provided great motivation as they begin preparing for their own HSC major works in the coming months.
