T1, Week 1
Welcome to 2024!
What a wonderful start to our new school year. We have seen Secondary students return with excitement, laughter, and joy as they catch up with friends and teachers, and make new friends.
Staff have been working exceptionally hard in preparing challenging lessons for our young people and helping them settle back into school. Congratulations Year 11 and Year 12 on the mature manner you have settled into your studies and how you have welcomed our new Year 7 students.
Year 7, whilst still settling in, are commended for their openness and inclusion of our new students. They have demonstrated a readiness for learning by being organised and practising new routines successfully. I think only a few of us have been lost so far (including myself)! But we have worked it out together! Secondary staff have enjoyed getting to know them as they settle into their new routines. I think some of the school bags are larger than the students at times.
Year 8, 9, and 10 returned with zest, enthusiasm, and personality, welcoming the new staff members and bringing delight to our playground.
Secondary Reminders: Uniform
Students are asked to correct any uniform issues by the end of Week 1. Jewellery and false nails will need to be removed as we come out of holiday mode. Correct shoes and hats must be worn each day. Ladies, please also adjust the length of your skirts to be a maximum of one hand width above the knee. Further information on Uniform can be found in the Whole School News.
We have much to be thankful for in the new year as 2024 brings hope and promise of great things to come. Please say hello to any of the Secondary Staff as you see them around our school. They are hardworking, invested in our young people, and have a heart to love families in our community.
