Term 4 Begins

It has been wonderful to see our students return ready to begin Term 4. In Chapel on Monday we began our theme for this term where we will be exploring the many heroes of the Bible. In this case we were blessed to hear from Mr Gale as he explored the impact and importance of Moses within the Biblical Narrative.

HSC Update

This week we have had our 2023 Year 12 Cohort begin their HSC Examinations and complete both of their English Examinations. These examinations will continue across the following three weeks. Please continue to keep these students in your prayers.

At this time we also have our 2023 Year 11 students step-up and begin their HSC Courses. While for most of these students this represents a continuation of subjects from Year 11 we look forward to helping them engage with the new content and thrive in their chosen areas of study.

Staffing Changes

Sadly we have had Mr Hall move on at the end of Term 3 in order to spend more time with his young family. Mr Hall is a deeply caring, committed teacher who will certainly be missed. Thankfully we are blessed to have a number of exceptional staff members able to pick up Mr Hall’s Science, Mathematics and Care Group lessons. Thank you to Mrs Coates, Mr Ditton, Mr Gill and Mrs Billett for continuing to support, educate and care for these classes.

Over the holidays we have also had our previous Head of Secondary, Mr Weeks, move into the position of Principal at Medowie Christian School. It has been my privilege to fill the role of Head of Secondary in an acting capacity for the remainder of this year. I have previously taught many of our secondary students while in primary school or during Mathematics, Geography or Technology classes.
