Our Culture of Community - Year 7, 8 and 9 Camps
Our Secondary community had the opportunity this week to participate in our Invictus Wellbeing camping program. Students from Year 7 to 9 have enjoyed a wide range of new experiences and opportunities. Year 7 & 8 travelled to Lake Macquarie and enjoyed rock climbing, initiative games, sailing, dragon boating, laser tag and more along with opportunities to experience God’s amazing creation and consider Him throughout Christian Discovery Sessions.

Year 9 travelled to Coffs Harbour and visited the Big Banana, had an up close encounter with dolphins and enjoyed a range of adventure based activities. Whilst our young men and women may be a little tired from these adventures, what a blessing it is to be able to change the learning routine, be challenged in new ways and learn new skills. We are grateful to the staff who attended, for their commitment to care for our students, and for the manner in which our student community has represented MCS and our values.

Stand Tall Seniors
Next week our Year 10 to 12 students have the opportunity to attend Stand Tall, a youth conference in Sydney aimed at inspiring our young men and women to stand up for what they believe in, to make a positive difference to the world around them, and to stand together as future leaders of our communities. Many of the speakers have had to overcome significant challenges and adversity in their lives and yet through persistence and determination, have become successful. It is of great benefit to our young men and women to hear their stories and to see what’s possible if you truly decide to put your mind to something you believe in.
