T1, Week 7
NAPLAN
Congratulations to all our Year 3 and Year 5 students who have worked so hard to complete their NAPLAN assessments this week. We are very proud of the way in which these students have applied themselves to these assessments and have put in their very best effort at everything that has been put in front of them. We acknowledge that NAPLAN is simply a snapshot of where our students are in time but we celebrate the way that they have done their best in these assessments as an act of worship to God.
Cross Country
Our students are excitedly preparing to compete in our annual Cross Country which will be held on Wednesday, 26th March. All students from Prep to Year 1 will participate in an obstacle Cross Country course that will take place in the Lighthouse from 9:30am. Students from Year 2 - Year 6 will compete in a Cross Country race on the MCS Cross Country Track from 11:30am - 1pm. Parents are warmly invited to come and watch our students participate in these events.
CEM Trainee Teacher Day
Our Primary Department was blessed to host four of the CEM Teacher Training School teachers on Tuesday. These trainee teachers are studying a Bachelor of Education while teaching two days a week in a local CEM school. As part of this day the trainee teachers were given the opportunity to support each other with the challenges of beginning their career in Education. They were also inspired by visiting our Primary classrooms and seeing the excellent learning that was taking place in these spaces.
