T1, Week 7

Parent Teacher Interviews

When the 2025 term dates were published to our community last year there was one key change communicated to our families, the date for Parent Teacher Interviews.

Instead of holding these over multiple evenings through Term 2, MCS has moved to a day/evening of interviews to afford families and staff an opportunity to connect ahead of the new term together.

Date: Monday 28th April (This is a Pupil Free Day with all students resuming on Tues 29th April)

Time: 10:00am - 6:00pm

Venue: The Lighthouse (MPC)

Interview bookings will be made available to families from Week 10 of Term 1, 2025. We are looking forward to partnering with you for your children through this opportunity.

NAPLAN

Congratulations to all students that have begun sitting NAPLAN Assessments. Most students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 have now completed three of the four NAPLAN Assessments (Writing, Reading and Conventions of Language). Monday, 18th March will see these students complete their final assessment, Numeracy. Any students that have been absent and missed an assessment will have the opportunity to complete catch-ups across the coming week.

Please continue to help our students by reminding them they will need to ensure:

  • They have a fully charged device.

  • They have headphones and any required adaptors.

  • If they are using wireless headphones, these are also fully charged.

If you have any questions about NAPLAN, please contact Mr Mark Walter.

Baby Ducks at MCS

Mrs Ward has been caring for some incubating duck eggs this past week and they are starting to hatch! We now have 3 new baby ducks at MCS and expect more in the coming days. They are Indian Runner Ducks who produce eggs and will be used in lessons to demonstrate “The Life Cycle”. Experiencing these new lives come into the world, for some of our students, has been a special event. What a blessing to witness and to marvel at how amazing God is as we consider the works of His hands.
