It was lovely to start our week together at Primary Lines. This is one of my favourite times in the week. Primary Lines are an opportunity for us all to come together at the beginning of the week, focus on a passage of the Scripture and set the tone for how our Primary Department will operate. During Term 1 our Primary students worked hard to learn the MCS theme verse for the year, Philippians 4:4-7, with 1M and KL standing out as true Memory Verse Champions. During Term 2 and 3 we will be revising scriptures that we learned last year to ensure that we have hidden them in our hearts. Mrs Ratcliffe and a group of Stage 3 girls began the process this week by helping us revise John 8:12:
“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
Parent / Teacher Interviews
Thank you to all the parents who attended our Parent/Teacher Interviews this week. It was lovely for us to catch up and partner with you in the education of your children. We look forward to working with you for the rest of the year and seeing how your children grow, academically, socially and spiritually.
Mothers’ Day Stall
Thank you to all our parents who helped prepare gifts for our Mothers’ Day Stall and to the parents who ran the stall during the day. Our Primary students loved shopping for their mums and other significant ladies in their lives. We wish you all a very happy Mothers’ Day next Sunday and hope that you enjoy the day with your families.
