Uniform - Help us Finish Strong

Our MCS Uniform is a testament, both at school and within the community, that MCS is a great place to be. Thank you for your continued support of our school by wearing our Uniform correctly and with pride.

Please ensure that your child has the correct uniform for each school day. Please pay particular attention to socks and sport shoes. If a short term variation to uniform is unavoidable for your child, the school requires notification by either emailing MCSStudentServices@acc.edu.au or sending a handwritten note to your child's classroom/CareGroup teacher.

Please also ensure your child has a hat for school, to wear all year round. The MCS School office has a limited supply, direct from the Uniform Shop and available for purchase:

  • Primary Hats

  • Secondary Caps

  • Ties and Tab Ties (for winter uniforms)

Please drop in to enquire about these items if you require one for your child. All other relevant information regarding Uniform Days and details of Uniform requirements can be found on the Uniform Days page at the bottom of each Whole School News.

Entitled: Webinar

Wednesday 5 November, 7pm

On-demand gratification has become the modern-day norm and our children have never known anything different. As a result, parents are noticing a clear pattern of declining levels of resilience and frustration tolerance. We naturally want them to be happy and successful, but we also recognise that a sense of entitlement can hinder their journey. While our hearts yearn to give them the world, we know it's equally important to nurture gratitude, responsibility and respect within their hearts.

Entitled with Dr Justin Coulson will dive deep into the issue of entitlement. We'll explore its root causes, its impact on our children's development, and most importantly, we'll equip you with practical strategies to turn things around. You'll learn how to shift your child's mindset from "gimme" to "thank you", and how to foster a sense of appreciation even in an age of abundance.

In this presentation, we will navigate the challenges of parenting in today's world and discover how to raise children who are not just entitled but empowered, resilient, and ready to make a positive contribution to the world.

This is an MCS provided webinar, to register click the link below.

Library News

This year, due to our Library move, our borrowing period is ending early. Week 4 will be the last week to borrow books from the Library. It is important that all books are returned by the end of the term, so that a full stocktake may take place. Notices will be given to students about any outstanding loans, so that they have sufficient time to find and return their Library books.

Libraries play an important role in building our student’s literacy and creativity. Thank you for helping us to maintain this space for our current and future students.
