Under 15 Girls Basketball Gala Day
On Wednesday I had the wonderful opportunity of accompanying the Under 15 Girls to the Gala Day in Newcastle. The day was packed with high-energy games, tough opponents, and the kind of excitement that makes you sit on the edge of your seat.
From the very first whistle, the girls played with heart and grit, demonstrating fantastic sportsmanship and representing our school with pride. After some incredible teamwork and strong defence they placed second in their pool and faced off against Newcastle Grammar School in the Semi Finals. Defeated only by a small margin the girls walked away with their heads held high and smiles on their faces — and rightfully so!
A big congratulations to Olivia, Eve, Skye, Megan, Lydia, Mia and Chloe for their hard work and fighting spirit. A huge thank you to Pierre Thomas for coaching and supporting the girls on the day.

Stage 3 Girls HRIS Netball
Congratulations to our Stage 3 Girls Netball Team who represented MCS so beautifully on Tuesday at the HRIS competition in Maitland. The girls trained hard and worked smoothly as a team. Their spirit of fair play was a testimony to our CHRIST values here at the school and it was lovely to see them use their gifts and talents to worship God. Thank you to Mrs Rispin for working with the girls and supporting them on the day.

On the 20th of August 2025, MCS students, who attend fitness and choreography sessions at iDance Performance Co Medowie, traveled to the Gold Coast to compete in the annual International Cheer Competition. Each team put their best foot forward, determined to demonstrate courage, respect, resilience and joy. MCS cheer participants would like to acknowledge Miss Kiah, the iDance coaches and their families for giving them the opportunity to shine.
