T1, Week 4
Swimming Carnival
Congratulations to all of our students who competed at the swimming carnival on Wednesday. You came along, got involved, cheered your friends on, swam your hearts out and brought joy to the event. It was wonderful to share the day with our families and friends and to see so many hop in the water for a bit of friendly competition. A big thank you to all of our students and families who attended and made the event such a great day for our community. God blessed us with spectacular weather, warm sunshine with a beautiful breeze.
Congratulations to the Student Leaders who ran a fabulous BBQ, ensured our Primary students were safe in the water, completed their final Year 12 lap of celebration, and generally loved our community. This is the ‘first last’ carnival for Year 12 2025.

Congratulations also to the number of Year 10 and Year 11 students who served all day, running the sheets, encouraging team spirit and taking initiative when they saw a need. We are so proud of all our students, Primary and Secondary, for their enthusiasm and participating in the day. Our students are a true joy to spend our days with.

HRIS Swimming
Primary HRIS Swimming is on Thursday, February 27th at the Forum Sports & Aquatic Centre. If you finish 1st or 2nd in your age group at the school swimming carnival in a race then you will receive a note to attend the HRIS carnival. Please note, HRIS have changed the structure of some of their events to align with higher levels of representation. For 8, 9 and 10 year old swimmers, the Breastroke, Backstroke and Butterfly events no longer have individual age groups but have been grouped together to be an 8-10 age group. The 50m Freestyle will remain as an individual age event.
Secondary HRIS Swimming is on the following Thursday, March 6th also at the Forum Sports & Aquatic Centre. Please keep your eye out for the permission note.
School Sport
Regular school sports will begin next week. Please ensure you are bringing your hat and a water bottle so you are prepared for the weather.
