Winter Uniform
Congratulations Secondary on a positive change from Summer to Winter uniform. It has certainly been a wet (and cooler) week.
Science and Technology
Over the course of the year, our Junior Secondary students have engaged in a variety of hands-on Science and Technology projects, ranging from designing solar-powered vehicles to crafting their own mobile phone holders. Recently, our Year 9 students embraced the challenge of building earthquake-resistant structures.
Jazzmyn reflected on the experience, saying it was “fun building with friends,” even though settling on the right design proved challenging. “We had to experiment with different materials and soon discovered that a solid foundation made all the difference. The cardboard egg carton didn’t work well, so we had to rethink our strategy.” These activities have fostered creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking, while helping students apply their learning to real-world contexts.
