Year 10 Stepping Up Camp
Bright and early on Wednesday at 7am, Year 10 embarked on their journey to Sydney for the highly anticipated Stepping Up Camp. This special camp offers a chance for our young adults to pause, celebrate their achievements, and reflect on their transition into Senior School and beyond.
Throughout the camp, students have bonded, grown and displayed kindness and thoughtfulness to the community through a variety of experiences including:
Ferry rides showcasing the sights of Sydney.
Train adventures exploring the bustling city.
Participating in an Amazing Race challenge, which not only tested their problem-solving skills but also strengthened their relationships.
Sharing a meal in Circular Quay, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere and each other’s company.
Shopping for ingredients, preparing meals, and camping out on Cockatoo Island, developing teamwork and independence.
Engaging in academic sessions focused on the Preliminary and HSC years, providing valuable insights and strategies for study success and future planning.
Learning about the exciting opportunities offered by the new Tall Trees Academy.
The camp has been filled with memorable highlights: campfires, heartwarming conversations, team-building games, and moments of service to the local community. These experiences fostered meaningful connections, leaving students with cherished memories to carry into their senior years.
