T4, Week 2

Chapel

This week kicked off with a bang as our Student Leaders were in the ‘Hot Seat’ during Chapel. All eyes and ears were on them as they shared their testimonies, answered some deep questions about their faith and shared times that have been difficult as a Chrisitan. This was an encouragement for our students to stand up for their faith and ask the tough questions that result in God and His word holding true every time.

Congratulations to Sam, Noah, Lillyarna, Joseph, Lucinda, Sarah, Franswa, Thea and Ayva as our new house leaders for 2025! Our student leaders had the opportunity to pray for these new House Leaders as they now begin their leadership journey. We are looking forward to you bringing us together as a community, leading some healthy House competitions and showing your outstanding leadership in this role.

Reading is good for you!

“Reading lights up your entire brain. A 2013 study out of Emory University measured readers MRI scans as they read a book. They found that the deeper readers went into the story, the more areas of their brain activated. Even more surprisingly, this activity stayed elevated for several days after participants finished the book. The more you read, the stronger these complex networks of activity become.”

- 10 Brain Reasons to Make Reading a Habit by Jim Kwik

Along with this reading has been proved to help reduce stress, increase knowledge, enhance creativity, improve memory, concentration, focus and vocabulary.

Below are some images of Year 8 English engaging their quiet reading program this week.
