T4, Week 2
MCS Bush Dance
Last Friday our MCS Primary community enjoyed our annual Term 4 Bush Dance. It was great to have so many families join us and it was wonderful to see all of our students showcasing the line dances that they had learned during PE in Term 3. A big thank you goes to Mrs Lilley for emceeing the evening and to all of our families who came along and made it a wonderful time for everyone involved.

Medowie’s Got Talent Heats
It has been an exciting week in our Primary Department with many of our students auditioning for Medowie’s Got Talent. Some amazing talent has been displayed with students entertaining their peers with singing, dancing, the playing of musical instruments and joke telling. Uniform
Thank you to all our families who are assisting your children to wear the correct school uniform. This is an important part of being a member of the MCS community and preparing our students to have a mindset ready to learn. Please note that on Fridays our Primary community meet for Chapel and Assembly and students are required to wear their Formal Uniform for these occasions. Students are not permitted to wear their Sport Uniform to school on Fridays. If there are any issues with your child wearing the correct uniform please email their class teacher and also medowie@acc.edu.au. For all information pertaining to School Uniform, please refer to the Whole School News.
Primary Assembly and Chapel
Primary Chapel is held on Friday during odd weeks of the term and Primary Assembly is held on even weeks. Primary Awards are presented at Assembly to students who have performed in an outstanding way academically or have been serving the MCS community, and classes take it in turns to share some of the excellent work they have been doing. Parents are warmly invited to both Chapel and Assembly which are held in The Lighthouse beginning at 2:15pm.

2025 Primary Classes
As we move into Term 4 many students and their families are beginning to think about class placements for 2025. The development of classes for the new year is a very large and complex task that is taken very seriously by our Primary staff. A great deal of prayer and discussion amongst the teaching staff goes into which class students are placed. In making these decisions we consider the needs of all students and aim to place each student with at least one child that they have a strong connection with so that they can begin the new school year feeling comfortable. We request that parents trust our professional judgement and know that we will carefully place their child where we believe their needs will be best met. We are blessed with a very professional and talented Primary teaching team and no matter what class your child is placed in you can be confident that they have a dedicated teacher and they will be ‘Well Known, Well Loved and Well Taught’. 2025 Primary classes will be communicated to parents during the week ending 17th January, 2025.
