T3, Week 1

RhemaFM Interview

At the end of last term, two of our Year 12 Leaders were blessed to be interviewed on RhemaFM as a part of the NextGen segment, talking about issues that are facing our young people today. Thank you to Emily and Divan for sharing and speaking up. If you would like to listen you can access the recording from the file below.

You may also read sections of the interview transcript and see some of the other schools involved in this opportunity on a page dedicated to the segment at the RhemaFM website.

Audio of RheemaFM NextGen:

"I just wanted to thank Rhema for the once in a lifetime opportunity to speak on live radio, it was absolutely amazing. I also don’t feel like people understand how much goes on behind the scenes and how complex everything is, but with that it was still so much fun to be apart off. Above everything our host Chloe was just an amazing host and just an awesome person in general. She was just so welcoming, funny and down to earth."

Divan

"My experience at RhemaFM was a great opportunity for me to connect with the community and express my opinions. Both Divan and I appreciated our school and wider community’s support and the dedication from the host Chloe. Overall the entire experience was something I will never forget."

Wellbeing Wednesday

Wellbeing Wednesday was a hit! Wellbeing Wednesday is an initiative to raise awareness around our wellbeing, both physical and mentally. It is a day to unwind, make school look a little different, make new memories together …and laugh, laugh and laugh some more.

This year the Secondary Leaders decided to raise awareness around bullying and the negative effects that unkindness can have on us as individuals and as a society. The charity they chose to raise funds for was Do It for Dolly.

The culmination of the day was our blue Butterfly Wall that consisted of our students' kind words, positive encouragements, loving quotes and Bible verses that reminded us of the importance of the words we use.

Thank you to those teachers who volunteered to be ‘creamed’ for our cause.

We are grateful for the many donations, both in person and online, and we are excited to share that we raised $763.90 for Do it for Dolly. Congratulations to the Senior Leaders who planned such a successful, meaningful day to discuss and raise awareness around such a prevalent issue in our society.

Keep an eye out for more photos in next week's newsletter.

These are our ‘graduates’ and the new group of Year 8 ladies are excited to begin their time with Mrs Kamper next week.

Year 12’s Final Term

Our Year 12 young adults began their final term of formal schooling. The day was met with a range of emotions and many laughs as they caught up, with relaxation definitely on the agenda!

Thursday night saw our Creative Arts students perform their Musical pieces and Drama performances. There was a mix of many different genres, talent, acting skills, tears and laughter as our young adults shared with the audience their passions and the stories they wanted you to hear. So many long hours of preparation definitely was worth the wait.

Thank you to Mrs Falckh, Mrs Sansom-Sherwill and Mrs Blatch for their love, dedication and support.
