T2, Week 5

Some of the young people from our Bible study had the opportunity to attend a combined service with Hunter Christian School, St Philips Cessnock and Maitland Christian School. It was an evening to connect with other young people across our region who also love Jesus. We shared what it means to be a Christian and how to be strong ambassadors for Christ. We were encouraged to personally reflect upon the five Christlike attitudes: Authenticity, Consistency, Humility, Courage and Love. The conversation was rich, deepened our accountability in our faith and spurred us on to continue becoming transformed by Christ. It was an honour to spend an afternoon with these young people as we continued to be moulded and shaped by one another.
Stage 6 Roadshow
Thank you to those Year 10 families who came along to our Stage 6 Roadshow this week. It was a lovely evening of looking forward to next year's many Stage 6 possibilities. This is an exciting time for our Year 10 students as they begin to make decisions for their future.
Congratulations to some of our Year 11 students on Work Placement
Three of our Year 11 students have recently had the opportunity to spend five days completing Virtual Work Placement with Amazon Web Services. They were joined by over 550 students state-wide and completed this placement as part of their TVET Certificate III in Information Technology.
The final project task involved students needing to design a web app that solved the problem of users, artists and bands needing more interaction. These projects were presented to their peers and a panel for judging. The top 6 teams then had their projects ‘showcased’.
As a testament to the diligence, engagement and skill level that our 3 students demonstrated, their project was one that reached ‘showcase’ status. Congratulations to Luca, Jimmy and Rowland!
