T1, Week 8

Chapel

This week in Chapel we had two of our senior leaders, Ayva and Tyler deliver the message of Hope. They were outstanding, passionate, vulnerable and honest as they shared some of their hardest times and how Jesus, through His love, care and faithfulness was able to help them through it. Our young people were encouraged to reach out, ask for help, trust in our God and remember that God always has a plan to prosper us.

Bible Study

Secondary students are invited to come along to Bible Study on Fridays during lunchtimes. It is a time to spend time together reading the Word of God, reflecting upon how God wishes the best for us and continuing learning of the Hope we have in Him.

Our baby goats

We have some new family members - meet our friendly goats who are definitely enjoying the attention from the Ag students.

Chess Competition

On Thursday this week, MCS hosted the first round of the NSWJCL (Junior Chess League Competition) against Callaghan College Waratah Campus.

It was a tightly fought contest with the final result a 2-2 draw. A result needed to be determined on the day, so the win went to Callaghan Waratah as they won on boards 1 & 3.

Congratulations to:

  • Jack K - Yr 11

  • Lucas S - Yr 8

  • Raphael I - Yr 8

  • Jack D - Yr 8

We now advance to the second-round competition and should play again early next term.
