T3, Week 7

HSC Preparation

The countdown is on for our graduating class of 2025. Each student has received their own personal HSC exam timetable which runs from October 16 – November 7. They have completed numerous assessment tasks over the past two years in Stage 6, culminating with the recent trial examinations last month.  Visual Arts major works are finalised, Drama performances have concluded, and the conversation component of the Spanish Beginners course was undertaken just this Wednesday.

Organisation is the number one recommendation for successful HSC preparation, so start planning and implementing your study timetable now. Remain focused, reduce stress and avoid burnout by studying in short blocks which encompass screen-free time. Complete past HSC and Trial exam papers under timed conditions, reading each question carefully and thoroughly. Use your reading time wisely to determine the best place to start and ask for help if needed.

Ensure you are looking after yourself by exercising regularly, eating well and getting plenty of sleep. Set up a quiet study space, free from distractions where you can work uninterrupted. Make sure you spend time with your family and friends and keep each other accountable.

Well done Year 12 for making it this far, we are so proud of you! It has been an absolute honour to journey with you all as your Care Group teacher during Stage 6. The staff will be praying for each of you as you commence your HSC examinations next month.

God bless,

ree

Presence Matters

As parents, one of the greatest gifts we can offer our children is the opportunity to grow in wisdom, knowledge, and character. Regular school attendance plays an important role in this process, and it’s not just about grades—it's about the journey of becoming who God created them to be. Each day they walk into school is a new chance for learning, building relationships, and discovering the gifts God has given them. By encouraging our children to attend school consistently, we’re helping them honour God with their time, energy, and commitment.

It’s easy to forget how much a missed day can impact a child’s learning and confidence. When they fall behind, even a little, it can feel overwhelming, not just for them, but for their parents too. But as we walk this road together, we can help them see the bigger picture. We can remind them that school isn’t always easy, but showing up—even on tough days—is part of how they grow in resilience and faith. Proverbs 22:6 tells us, "Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it." By building a routine that values school and makes it a priority, we are teaching our kids the importance of faithfulness and commitment, which will serve them well beyond the classroom.

We would like to thank the many Secondary students who come to school every day with a positive attitude, energetic spirit to tackle new challenges and who engage in their learning by asking well-thought-out questions and acting on their teachers' feedback.
