T2, Week 7

Gratitude - Sing to the Lord with grateful praise Ps. 147:7

God has blessed us with so much to be thankful for—beautiful sunshine and the chance to play outdoors, a long weekend to enjoy with family and friends, and the joy of representing our school in Futsal and coming away with a win (see Sport News for more details). We’ve also experienced many meaningful learning moments across Primary this week—thank you to all our dedicated teachers and staff for the time, care, and love they invest to make these moments possible. But most of all, we give our heartfelt thanks to you—our wonderful parent community. Thank you for your ongoing support, trust, and partnership as we work together to help your precious children grow into all that God has created them to be.

Uniform Reminder

Wearing the school uniform correctly is one way we show we are ready to learn. Every part of the uniform matters. For girls, this includes wearing the maroon tab, appropriate jewellery and having hair neatly tied back. For boys, this means grey socks, black shoes, and shirts tucked in when wearing the formal uniform. We appreciate your support in helping your child wear their uniform with pride. For more information please refer to the Uniform Policy.

Each week we are excited to hear from inside our Primary classrooms and find out what is happening. Please enjoy this week’s instalment from Prep…

Life in Prep is always full of fun and learning. Many of our Prep friends attend two or three days a week. These days are jam-packed as we learn about our initial sounds, which are set in a rich literature based context and maths concepts embedded in play and structured ‘buddy groups’. We have also begun learning about the five senses, with the sense of sight and hearing being covered so far. At the end of each day we try to take time to reflect on our learning and remember some of our favourite things that were part of our day.

As part of our Integrated Learning, we read the book Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See? By Bill Martin Jr. We were inspired to make our own book.
