T1, Week 6

Clean Up Australia Day at MCS

Last Friday our Primary students embraced the opportunity to engage with Clean Up Australia Day and turned their attention to cleaning up MCS. Despite the heat our classes headed off after lunch to pick up rubbish in many locations in our playground and it was wonderful to see them show such great stewardship of the beautiful school that God has given us. Thank you to Mr Parraga for organising the afternoon and to all our teachers who worked with our students to ensure that our playground is a beautiful place to be.

Stage 3 and Kindergarten Buddies

Stage 3 students have officially kicked off their buddy program with Kindergarten, and what better way to start than by getting creative? This week, 5/6HR and KBJ spent time getting to know each other through a fun portrait-drawing activity. Each student had the chance to carefully observe their buddy and create a unique drawing of them—a great way to learn about their new friend while sharing plenty of laughs. The buddy program will continue throughout the year, with a new theme to explore together every fortnight. Students are already looking forward to the exciting activities ahead and, most importantly, to building meaningful friendships along the way.
