T4, Week 7
Merry Christmas From Our Primary Team
As we rapidly approach the end of the year we would like to wish all our families a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year. We pray that you will all enjoy special time with your families and rest to refresh you for 2025. Thank you to everyone for all your support throughout 2024. It is your support and involvement in our school community that help make it such a special place to belong.
Year 6 Graduation
Congratulations to our Year 6 students who graduated from Year 6 yesterday. We spent a beautiful morning with the Year 6 families and Primary community celebrating their journey through Primary School. Prep and Kindergarten presented some beautiful items and it was lovely to have the choir and Ministry Team perform to wish them well. We pray that God will bless Year 6 as they move into Secondary School and wish them all the best for their future.

Year 6 Challenge Day
As part of the end of Primary school celebrations, Year 6 visited Revolution Trampoline Sports Park today. They enjoyed a series of You Can Do It team challenges, followed by a well earned indoor picnic and icey treat. As the staff reflect on the outstanding growth and achievement of this Year 6 cohort, we are truly amazed by what God has done in and through these young ones, from the first day we met one another in Kindergarten 2018 until now. Our parting prayer for your children and our Year 6 treasures is that they would continue to grow in the knowledge and grace of Jesus Christ, for He is the only Way, Truth and Life.

Christmas in Prep
It has been a very special week in Prep and their Christmas celebrations have moved into full swing. Our youngest students were very excited to have Santa and Mrs Claus visit them this week and have had a beautiful time reflecting on the birth of Christ and the peace and joy that this has brought to the earth.

Primary Time Up and Kindergarten Parent Information Session
On Wednesday our Primary students spent a morning visiting the year group that they will enter in 2025. They had a fun morning hearing about the exciting things they will be doing next year as well as engaging in some interesting learning experiences. Our Kindergarten 2025 students came for their second orientation morning while their parents learned all about life at MCS. We are looking forward to 2025 and all the great things that God has in store for us as a school community.

Primary End of Year Fun Day
What an amazing year we have had together in our Primary Department! It has been wonderful to see our students grow in all areas of their development academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. In order to celebrate this great year that we have had together we have many exciting activities planned for the last day of the school year. On this day our students will be involved in inflatable relay activities, water games, class parties and a Christmas movie. Details for the day are below:
When: Wednesday, 4th December
Time: 8:50am - 3:10pm
Wear: Casual play clothes that students can be involved in physical activity in. Shoulders should be covered, runners should be worn for foot protection.
Bring: Swimmers, rashy, towel, broad-brim hat, thongs/crocs and sunscreen for water play.
Secret Santa: Please return your child’s Secret Santa snack and drink for their class party by Friday, 29th November and place it under their class Christmas tree.
2025 Primary Classes
As we approach the end of Term 4 many students and their families are beginning to think about class placements for 2025. The development of classes for the new year is a very large and complex task that is taken very seriously by our Primary staff. A great deal of prayer and discussion amongst the teaching staff goes into which class students are placed. In making these decisions we consider the needs of all students and aim to place each student with at least one child that they have a strong connection with so that they can begin the new school year feeling comfortable. We request that parents trust our professional judgement and know that we will carefully place their child where we believe their needs will be best met. We are blessed with a very professional and talented Primary teaching team and no matter what class your child is placed in you can be confident that they have a dedicated teacher and they will be ‘Well Known, Well Loved and Well Taught’. 2025 Primary classes will be communicated to parents during the week ending 17th January, 2025.
