T3, Week 4
Book Week
It has been a magical week in our Primary Department this week as our students and teachers alike celebrated a love of reading, books and literature. Students were treated to lunch times of stories, the opportunity to create window displays and to participate in a colouring competition. Our students loved shopping at the Book Fair and the celebrations from the week culminated in a spectacular Book Character Parade. A huge thank you goes to all the parents who worked so hard to help the students organise such amazing costumes and to Miss Bignill, Mr Allen and all the Primary teachers who organised and implemented lots of very fun literature oriented learning experiences.

School Uniform
Thank you to all our parents who work hard to ensure that our students are wearing the correct school uniform each day. We have all been excited to see the arrival of some warmer weather this week but we do remind our families that students are required to wear Winter Uniform until the end of Term 3. Please ensure that when your child is dressed in their formal uniform that they wear polished black leather shoes. Runners are not permitted to be worn with the MCS formal uniform. Girls are also required to wear the maroon tie with their formal uniform each day. Please see the links below to the MCS Uniform Policy and the 2024 Uniform Days document.
The above information can be easily accessed from the Uniform Days link at the top of each week’s Whole School News.

Primary Assembly and Chapel
Primary Chapel is held on Friday during odd weeks of the term and Primary Assembly is held on even weeks during the term. Primary Awards are presented at Assembly to students who have performed in an outstanding way academically or have been serving the MCS community, and classes take it in turns to share some of the excellent work they have been doing with the rest of the school community. Parents are warmly invited to both Chapel and Assembly which are held in The Lighthouse beginning at 2:15pm.
