Book Week
We have had so much fun this week celebrating literature and wonderful stories during Book Week. Our classrooms are looking beautiful with lovely displays in our windows and the children have participated in colouring competitions and shared reading from their teachers during lunch time. Our Monday - Wednesday Prep students paraded in beautiful book character costumes at the end of the day on Wednesday and the rest of the Primary School thoroughly enjoyed the Book Character Parade on Friday. Thank you to all the parents who helped us make our costumes and cheered us on during the parade.

HRIS Stage 3 Netball
Congratulations to our Stage 3 Netball team that competed in the HRIS competition on Tuesday. The girls enjoyed a fabulous day representing the school and demonstrating their sporting talents. They showed great sportsmanship and should be congratulated for the way in which they tackled each game with enthusiasm and represented MCS with such honour.
Father’s Day Breakfast and Gift Stall
We warmly invite all our fathers and significant men in our lives to our special MCS Father’s Day Breakfast. This will take place this Wednesday, 30th August in the MPC beginning at 7:30am. Come along and be spoiled by your children as they say thank you for all the wonderful things that you do in their lives. A Father’s Day Stall will also operate throughout the day where Primary students will be given the opportunity to buy their dads a small gift for $5. Each class will visit the stall throughout the day and children will be given assistance to make this special purchase.
Primary Lunch Clubs
Our students at MCS are to have a wonderful lunchtime club program each week. There are clubs running during break times each day and we encourage students to find a club that they are interested in and participate in this regularly. The Primary Lunchtime Club Schedule is below:

Health Alert
Unfortunately we appear to have had an outbreak of Conjunctivitis in some of our Infants classes. This is a highly contagious eye infection. Please see the link below from the NSW Department of Health website for further information. If your child wakes with crusty eyes or their eyes have a discharge, we request that you seek medical advice and keep them home until the infection has cleared.
