Infants Athletics
Last Friday 11th August, our Infants students enjoyed a very exciting Athletics Fun Day. We were blessed with beautiful weather and it was lovely to see our youngest students using the gifts that God has given them to glorify Him. It was very exciting to see what great runners we have in our midst as well as witnessing some skilled long jumpers and great team players in the novelty events. We finished the day cheering our students on as they challenged their parents in the Tug of War. Thank you to all of the Stage 5 Exercise Science students who helped out on the day and enabled our Infants students to achieve success at athletics and have lots of fun!

Primary HRIS Athletics
Congratulations to all our students who represented MCS at the Primary HRIS Athletics Carnival at Maitland on Thursday 17th August. Our students competed enthusiastically in all their events and it was great to hear that their positive attitude and great sportsmanship was evident to all. I am always encouraged to see our students using the gifts that God has given them to celebrate life and in serving Him.

Book Week
Book Week is coming! Book Week will be held this term from the 21st to the 25th of August (Week 5). For all our Book Week information please refer to the Library News.
Japanese Cultural Visit
This week we welcome some visiting Japanese students from Ota Daiichi High School. These students will be staying with some of our MCS families and participating in our Secondary classes. If you see these lovely people around please say Kon'nichiwa こんにちは and make them feel welcome. We are looking forward to this exciting opportunity for us all to learn about Japanese culture and a little of their language. It is also a great opportunity for these students to see what life and school is like in Australia, and for both schools to develop friendships that cross the oceans.
Seasons For Growth Program

MCS Bike Track
We are so blessed to have such a wonderful facility like our Bike Track at MCS. Our students love participating in Bike Club at lunch time and Mountain Bike Riding for Sport. We are able to run such exciting programs because we have teachers who give up their lunch time to supervise the students and make sure that they are safe. The Bike Track is, however, unsupervised before and after school and in order to maintain student safety we ask that students not use the track during these times.
