T1, Week 2

Welcome to our 2026 Prep and Kindergarten Students

It has been an exciting week in our Primary Department at MCS and we have been so blessed to welcome our youngest learners to our community in Prep and Kindergarten. Kindy Land and our Prep room were a buzz of activity on Monday as families introduced their children to our Prep and Kindergarten teachers. It has been lovely visiting these classrooms throughout the week and hearing the excited hum of learning. We also had new Prep students begin on Wednesday and Thursday and they have very quickly adjusted to the school routines.  We look forward to working with our Prep and Kindergarten families this year as their child begins their journey through MCS.

Clubs

At MCS we are blessed to have highly professional and talented teachers who also have skills in specialised areas that they love to share with their students. Due to this great pool of talent we are able to offer our students a broad range of special interest clubs to be involved in during their break times. A timetable of our weekly clubs is below. Please encourage your child to participate in at least one club that they are interested in. Primary Clubs begin in Term 1, Week 3. Each term they will operate from Week 2 until the second last week of term.

*Permission required.

Cheer will also operate as a Club this year but will not begin in Week 3. Further information will be provided in future Newsletters.

Whilst Bike Club will begin in Week 3 there will be no riding on the track during this week. Students are asked to meet Mr Parraga at D9 at 1:10pm and they will engage in some bike maintenance sessions. Students will then be given a permission note to participate in Bike Club. Permission notes must be signed and returned to Mr Parraga before students are able to ride their bikes on the track.
