T4, Week 7

In the Spotlight

MCS Secondary Creative Arts students took the Lighthouse by storm last Thursday night, performing in our annual CAPA showcase “In the Spotlight”. The audience was treated to a wide range of performances, from Bon Jovi to Pavarotti to Coldplay, as our Year 7–11 Music and Drama students took to the stage. Artworks from our Visual Arts students were also on display around the room, adding colour and creativity to the evening. It was a joyful and uplifting night that truly helped our young people shine in the spotlight. A huge thank you to all our performers and teachers for their hard work, and to our wonderful audience for supporting them and celebrating the talent and hard work of our students.

Primary Nursing Home Visits

Our beautiful choir and dance group students visited residents at Raymond Terrace Opal Gardens and Hawks Nest Peter Sinclair RSL Lifecare Nursing Homes on Tuesday 25th November. It brought a lot of joy to both our performing students and the residents as they watched and sang, with some even dancing along whilst watching our students. It is a privilege to bring the Christmas Message to our older folk who look forward to our annual visit. Thank you Choir and Dance Group for your commitment to lunch time rehearsals and performances. We look forward to your participation again in 2026!
