T2, Week 3

Term 2 is a busy term for  Secondary students with lots of exciting opportunities and events.

Chapel

This week in Chapel we had the blessing of having Mr Matthews bring our Chapel message where he challenged us with the story of the prodigal son. We were asked to wrestle with the big question of - if someone wronged us, would we openly forgive and welcome them home?

Bible Study and other Weekly Activities

Secondary students are invited to come along to Bible Study on Fridays during lunchtime. It is a time to spend time together reading the Word of God, reflecting upon how God desires the best for us, and continuing learning of the hope we have in Him.

There are many groups running each week for our Secondary learners to be involved in. See Canvas for the details of each group.

CareGroup Teachers

Families are reminded that the best person to contact for any questions in Secondary is your child’s CareGroup teacher. Families are welcome to call or email medowie@acc.edu.au.

Assessment/Homework Help

Assessment Help is up and running again for all Secondary learners. Come along and get some help with tasks on Mondays and Thursdays during lunchtimes in M25.

Excursions and Events from this week

Year 7 and Year 12 History students had the most fabulous time on the Ramses Excursion.

Year 7 to Year 10 students had an experience from Bell Shakespeare’s touring ensemble of professional artists who brought Shakespeare to life for us.

Year 10 experienced the Careers Expo in Maitland, exposing them to the many choices and options they have in the next part of the learning journey.

Year 10 also had a practise on how to complete their Year 10 Minimum Standards, ready for the real testing to begin next week. Further information can be found on the website.
