T2, Week 3

Parent / Teacher Interviews

Thank you to all our parents who have met with us over the last two weeks for Parent / Teacher Interviews. It has been lovely to catch up with you all and celebrate the progress that our students are making in their learning. While this is our formal interview period for the year our teachers are always available to meet with you if you have any questions or concerns about your child’s learning or experience at school. If you would like to meet with your child’s class teacher please email them to make an appointment for a time that they are available to meet with you. While we understand that sometimes parents are keen to speak with teachers before school, teachers are busy during this time preparing for the day and settling students into class.

Prep Dental Visits

Our Prep students have had an exciting time this week learning all about looking after their teeth and practising dental hygiene on special puppets brought by our visiting Dental Educator. They are now experts on how to look after their teeth and are keen to share their new knowledge with their families.

Primary Clubs

Our Term 2 break time clubs are now in full swing and we encourage all our students to participate in a club in an area that they are interested in. Please see the weekly timetable for these clubs below. It may be helpful to discuss these clubs with your child and help them to plan the clubs they would like to be involved with. Please note that clubs will operate from Week 2 - Week 9 this term.

Primary Assembly and Chapel

With the conclusion of the musical we will return to our usual cycle of Primary Chapel being held on Friday on odd weeks of the term and Primary Assembly being held on even weeks of the term. Primary Awards will be presented at Assembly to students who have performed in an outstanding way academically or have been serving the MCS Community, and classes will take it in turns to share some of the excellent work they have been doing in class with the rest of the school community. Parents are warmly invited to both Chapel and Assembly which will be held in The Lighthouse beginning at 2:15pm.
