T4, Week 1

Staffing Update

MCS would like to inform our community that Mr Peter Lee has made a decision to resign from his position as a member of our Secondary CAPA and TAS Teams at the end of 2025. Mr Lee has been a key member of our team over the past two years and has made a decision to step down to support his family at this time. We pray this next season is one of great comfort for the whole Lee family.

HSC commences

This week saw our Year 12 Class of 2025 commence their written HSC examinations. These exams run for approximately one month each year and are the final assessments for our Year 12 students. The exams are occurring predominantly in E Block and the Administration building this term. Please be mindful and prayerful over these students at this time and when you are coming onsite.

All the best Year 12, you’re in our thoughts and prayers!

School Library on the Move!

The Library will be moving into a fully refurbished space in E block, by the basketball courts. We are looking forward to a fresh space, filled with light and most excitingly, a covered outdoor reading area. While we are sad to say goodbye to our cosy little cave, we are finishing an exciting year with a bang. We have had a record breaking year with sixty-four students finishing the Premier’s Reading Challenge. And thanks to the generosity of our families at our Book Fair during Book Week, we will be receiving over one hundred new books into our library. Our students always receive new books and new stories with such excitement and we are so grateful for your contribution to building their love of reading.

There is still more to come! We have two rounds of book club this term, including a special Christmas issue with which the school will receive twice as many rewards for every item sold.

We can’t wait to spend an exciting and inspiring Term 4 with you.

Entitled: Webinar

Wednesday 5 November, 7pm

On-demand gratification has become the modern-day norm and our children have never known anything different. As a result, parents are noticing a clear pattern of declining levels of resilience and frustration tolerance. We naturally want them to be happy and successful, but we also recognise that a sense of entitlement can hinder their journey. While our hearts yearn to give them the world, we know it's equally important to nurture gratitude, responsibility and respect within their hearts.

Entitled with Dr Justin Coulson will dive deep into the issue of entitlement. We'll explore its root causes, its impact on our children's development, and most importantly, we'll equip you with practical strategies to turn things around. You'll learn how to shift your child's mindset from "gimme" to "thank you", and how to foster a sense of appreciation even in an age of abundance.

In this presentation, we will navigate the challenges of parenting in today's world and discover how to raise children who are not just entitled but empowered, resilient, and ready to make a positive contribution to the world.

This is an MCS provided webinar, to register click the link below.
