T1, Week 8

Parent Teacher Interviews

When the 2025 term dates were published to our community last year there was one key change communicated to our families, the date for Parent Teacher Interviews.

Instead of holding these over multiple evenings through Term 2, MCS has moved to a day/evening of interviews to afford families and staff an opportunity to connect ahead of the new term together.

Date: Monday 28th April (This is a Pupil Free Day with all students resuming on Tues 29th April)

Time: 10:00am - 6:00pm

Venue: The Lighthouse (MPC)

Interview bookings will be made available to families from Week 10 of Term 1, 2025. We are looking forward to partnering with you for your children through this opportunity.

NAPLAN

Congratulations to all our students that have now completed their NAPLAN assessments for 2025. It has been pleasing to observe our students working diligently and giving their best throughout this week. Results from these assessments are not expected to be available until the end of Term 2 at the earliest. If you have any further queries about NAPLAN, please contact Mr Mark Walter.

Website Upgrade

As a part of our 30th Anniversary celebrations we have launched a new website! We are so grateful to the CEM Design Team for all their work and support in developing this platform for the school. If you get a chance please head across and see for yourself at: www.mcs.nsw.edu.au

Term 2 Change for Primary

For the 10 weeks of Term 2, Mrs Wright-Baker our Head of Primary has the opportunity to gain some valuable experience in educational leadership as she steps into the Principal role at Brightwaters Christian College to allow Mrs Taina Anway an opportunity for a deserving rest. Mrs Wright-Baker will be returning to MCS in Term 3 however, for next term whilst we will miss her, we are also excited that she has this growth opportunity to serve another of our great Christian Schools in the CEM family.

Acknowledging our Tall Trees Academy

The Tall Trees Academy exists to help prepare our students for life beyond the gates and is built on principles of support, encouragement and celebration of one another.
