We have had a lot to celebrate lately, with so many of our students competing in HRIS athletics, as well as celebrating our Primary Age Champions across different sports.

HRIS Secondary Athletics

Recently our secondary students represented MCS at HRIS Athletics. It was great to see our students shine as they all participated to the best of their ability. We had some great results with MCS coming 4th out of 9 schools in division 2.

We had 2 age champions, Divan Bezuidenhout for the 16 boys and William Vetter for the 18 boys.

Congratulations to the following students who had made the HRIS team to compete at AICES:

  • Kayla Fletcher (Y12),

  • Wiliam Vetter (Y12), and

  • Monica Moore (Y10).

School National Futsal 2022

Australia's biggest and best school futsal event will be held in September in Brisbane. Regional representative squads are selected from across Australia at local School Futsal Titles during the first half of the year. From that point onwards they begin training to work towards their appearance on the national stage. For teams there is the chance to represent their state or region and become Australian champions. For individual players, there is the chance of being selected to represent Australia on an International Tour.

The tournament features 170 teams from across all states, 1600 players and the the chance to be crowned champions of Australia!

Congratulations to the students from MCS who have been selected to play. Tyler Lynn and Dominic Meldrum from Year 4 have been individually selected to play for the Under 10s NSW Futsal teams. Deegan Lynn from Year 2 has been individually selected to play for the Under 8s as a Goalkeeper.

Congratulations to these students and we look forward to hearing how they go.
