MTB News

Last weekend three students from Medowie Christian School travelled to Woolgoolga on the NSW Mid North Coast for the Rocky Trail Fox Superflow event.

Finn (Year 8) and Finley (Year 7) both competed well in the Under 15 category with Finn coming away with a solid 10th place. After this result Finn is now 5th overall in the 2023 NSW series.

Nick (Year 10) competed in the Under 17 category and in a late charge managed to secure 2nd place, backing up from his win several weeks ago. Nick is currently leading the Under 17 age group in the 2023 NSW season with two events remaining in Canberra and Orange.

The younger age categories at Rocky Trail Superflow events are extremely competitive, where advanced skills combine with a youthful lack of fear results in very fast times. We continue to be excited by watching our riders embracing the hard work and challenge of racing, gaining valuable experience and having encouraging results.

Term 3 Equestrian Team

We are so excited to offer our families the chance to become part of our wonderful equestrian team.

In Term 3, we will be holding our weekly equestrian team lessons at the Riding for the Disabled (RDA) in Raymond Terrace on Thursday afternoon at 4:00pm-5:30pm.

If you have a horse and are keen to be part of a team please let us know by filling out the expression of interest form. The form can be accessed by the students with their ACC Google Login. Alternatively, contact the school office.

Where possible we will split into two groups according to experience and riding ability. The most important thing is that the students have fun and are safe.

It will run from: 27th July - 22nd September (9 weeks).

Equestrian Camp

We are also excited to announce a proposed 3 day camp to be held at Voller Park Breaking and Training Centre in North Arm Cove. Please register your interest using the above link (via your school ACC Google Login).

Tamworth Interschools Horse Extravaganza - 13th -16th October 2023.

If you have any questions, please email Diane Pietsch.
