T4, Week 4
Primary CHEER Team
Congratulations to our Primary Cheer Team who came first in the School Division of the New South Wales Championships on the weekend. Our team has worked hard training during their Wednesday Sport time each week and it was wonderful to see all this work pay off. A big thank you goes to Mrs Ratcliffe for managing the team and to Kiah from iDance for training them.

Spotlight: MCS Student Athlete

Many of our students participate in sports outside of the school that Medowie Christian School believes deserve recognition. This week, we would like to update you on the progress of one of our Year 9 students, Callum, and his recent achievements in Kick-Boxing.
On the 22nd October Callum competed in the ISKA (International Sport Karate Association) World Cup. It is an International tournament that is held every 3 years. This year it was held in Liverpool, Sydney.
Callum competed against 17 other competitors in Point Sparring, and fought some difficult fights. He overcame some hurdles and nerves to win 3rd place! As a result, he won a 3rd place title belt, something that is very sought after, and is only won at the World Cup.
He displayed grace and humility, perseverance and persistence to achieve this goal, something we see from Callum in his character at school as well. He was able to think on his feet and adapt his abilities to suit the situation in front of him.
From everyone in our Medowie community, well done, Callum, for achieving 3rd place in the World Cup! What a phenomenal achievement!
