T1, Week 5

Chapel

This week in Chapel we began our journey through the Gospel of John, as we begin to unpack that Jesus is the Messiah. Miss Beikoff challenged us with the fact that the one true God of Israel consists of God the Father and the Son, who has become human to reveal the Father to us.

Careers at MCS

Stage 5 students have enthusiastically engaged with our Careers program this term, beginning with exploring the distinction between a career and a job. They have been identifying their strengths, interests, and passions through questionnaires and self-discovery activities. For the remainder of their term, they will be exploring the importance of crafting a well-structured resume.

Our Careers program at MCS integrates essential work-ready skills, encouraging students to assess their existing experiences, skill sets, and future opportunities. A key focus of our lessons has been the importance of effectively showcasing their abilities to prospective employers, helping them put their best foot forward.

Learning in Secondary

Learning in Secondary has been full of opportunities for our students to try new things, learn from one another and embrace the engagement that EDI brings.

We have been enjoying Food Technology this year, making scones, fruit salad, and cheesy zucchini muffins. Along the way, we have developed skills such as chopping, cleaning, and making healthy food choices—with the best part having the chance to enjoy our delicious creations!
