T1, Week 2
Our second week has seen more laughter, fun games and a playground that is bubbling with activity. Lessons are full of learning, students being challenged and “Pair-Sharing” as our young people remember that learning happens best in community.
Extra Curricular Groups
Extra Curricular Groups will begin in Week 3 with a range of activities from Chess, Homework Help, VIBE (Vocal Ensemble), Chapel Band, Student Leadership, Bible Club, Reading and Writing Club. We will be launching a much anticipated Young Men’s Gathering during the school day soon. All details will be placed on Canvas for our young people.
Student Reflections
Our Year 7 students have enthusiastically embraced their first few weeks of high school! What a lovely group of students who have supported one another in the transition from Primary to Secondary schooling and risen to the challenge of reading timetables and navigating movement between classes.
“We have appreciated the support from teachers and the diverse range of subjects. We have enjoyed the freedom to explore topics that interest us, being in class with friends, making new connections, and participating in Sports lessons.” - Year 7 Students

Our Seniors are settling back into school routines and looking forward to what the year ahead holds for them:
“It feels great to be back at school, seeing and socialising with people I haven’t seen much outside school. I enjoyed the welcome back from all of the teachers and the transition games used to get existing and new students back up and running, ready to learn. It is always a warm feeling coming back into the school, feeling well loved and looked after by everyone around me.” - Gabby
“Returning to Medowie Christian School is a great feeling, with familiar faces, new opportunities, and a welcoming atmosphere. It’s exciting to reconnect with friends, learn new things, and be part of a supportive community. This year brings fresh challenges and opportunities to grow together.” - Jimmy
Assessment Schedules
Assessment Schedules will be placed on Canvas and sent home at the end of Week 3 outlining each year group's formal assessment tasks across the year. There is a one-page summary that can also be placed on the fridge at home to help with organisation.
Please contact your child’s CareGroup teacher at any time throughout the year to answer any questions or queries you may have. We desire to work with our families to ensure our young people are Well Known, Well Loved and Well Taught.
May 2025 continue to be filled with an abundance of opportunities for our young people to grow, learn and experience Jesus.
