T4, Week 3
Year 7 Immersion Day
Congratulations to our incoming Year 7 for 2025! On Wednesday this week we were blessed to host our Year 6 students for an immersion day into Secondary. New students and current MCS students embraced the day and tackled their nerves - and they did it with fun, grace and kindness.
Our House Leaders led the day, guiding Year 7 2025 when introducing themselves, settling in and learning not to take ourselves too seriously as they danced up a storm together - I think there may have even been some moon walking!
As the morning progressed the students made new friends, laughed together and we found out lots about each other. The jury is still out on whether we should have pineapple on pizza or not! But KFC was a definite winner against McDonalds.
Mr Weeks came along and was placed in the Hot Seat as we learnt about his hobbies, favourite foods and the things he loves about Secondary school (including those things that may challenge us).
The middle session was full of new learning experiences as we completed lessons in Maths, Science and Technology, learning how to navigate and find different rooms across the Secondary school.

Lunch was cooked, prepared and served by our Year 10 students who did an outstanding job at creating a real family moment where we sat together, shared a meal and got to know each other more.
In the afternoon we enjoyed some sport - Badminton, N ball and Capture the Flag were the favourites.
