T3, Week 2

Chapel

Congratulations to Lillian from Year 12 who shared her testimony with us in Chapel this week. It was encouraging, inspiring and heartfelt as she shared the ups and downs of being a young adult living to honour Jesus.

Year 12’s Final Term

Next week our Year 12 students begin the TAFE Trial HSC examinations. We wish all our students the best and will be praying for them for a settled mind, calm spirit and a recall of the knowledge they have learnt.

Year 9 PDHPE

Our Year 9s have been studying Dancing in PDHPE this term… what a lot of fun! Congratulations Year 9 for the way you have embraced your lessons with fun, joy and laughter.

Assessment Tasks

As the term continues on, formal assessment tasks have begun. Students are now being given four weeks notice (instead of the two weeks required by NESA) to allow our learners to gain more feedback from their teachers, to prepare well and complete tasks to a high standard. Families are encouraged to continue referring back to the Assessment Schedule document for the times of upcoming tasks.

Illness/Misadventure

If any learner is absent from school on the day of an assessment task they must:

  • Let their teacher know via an email

  • Log on to Canvas, complete an Illness/Misadventure Form (medical certificates are required for students in Years 10, 11 and 12)

  • Submit the signed Illness/Misadventure Form to their teacher

For all hand in tasks, students must still submit their task through Canvas.

CareGroup teachers

If our learners or families are not sure about anything Secondary related, please see your child’s CareGroup teacher as the first point of call. For any subject related questions please see the subject teacher.

Homework Help

Come along Monday, Tuesday and Thursday lunchtimes in M25 for help with assessment tasks, study routines or just a quiet place to complete classwork.

Wellbeing Wednesday

On our recent Wellbeing Wednesday, the student leaders decided to raise money for Do it for Dolly to address the negative effects of bullying. Thanks again to the students who embraced the day with a spirit of kindness. Enjoy some more photos from our day.
