T3, Week 4
Book Week
What a wonderful week we have had celebrating books and all the adventures that we have reading them. Our Prep students kicked off the week with their stunning parade on Tuesday afternoon and all our classes have excitedly visited the Scholastic Book Fair to stock up on some enjoyable reading at home. We have loved making window displays in all our classrooms and the highlight of the week has absolutely been our grandparents joining us for our Book Parade on Friday.

Celebrating Year 3 Learning
Year 3 students have been learning to persuade their audience by writing persuasive texts that use emotive language. We have learned about old school punishments and discussed whether they should be reintroduced to schools today. We have also enjoyed discussing whether junk food should be banned or whether it is good for you. This term we have been learning how to type our writing into a Google Doc and are enjoying adding to our writing each day to build and enrich it. Year 3 students are also learning how to deliver their arguments in a debate style. You may have seen some of this today if you visited the classrooms during Grandparents Day. We have completed some stunning pieces of indigenous artworks, collaboratively and individually to learn about NAIDOC Week.
