We would like to wish all our families a very warm welcome to the 2023 school year! It has been lovely to see all our students return to school excited about the year ahead. It has also been exciting to see our new Prep and Kindergarten students begin their educational journey with us this week. They look so grown up in their uniforms and are settling quickly into their classes.

Meet The Teacher Afternoon

ree

Thank you to all our parents who attended the Meet the Teacher afternoon yesterday. It was great for the teachers to connect with the new families and be able to share their routines and vision for our students’ learning this year. If you were unable to attend, Stage teams will send the Google Slide presentations to families via email today.

Lunchtime Clubs

We are very fortunate to provide many lunchtime clubs for our students to be involved in. These clubs will begin in Week 4 after we have time to establish our learning routines for 2023. Clubs run during Break 2 from 1:05 - 1:40pm and all students from Stage 1 onwards are welcome to participate. The timetable for our Term 1 clubs is below:

School Uniform

Thank you to all our families who have purchased their children the correct summer school uniform to begin the year. Just a reminder that students must bring their school broad brim hat each day and it must be worn whenever children are outside of the classroom. MCS caps should NOT be worn by Primary students. When considering jewellery, girls can wear one plain pair of studs or sleepers in their ears and a plain signet ring. Boys are not permitted to wear earrings. All students are able to wear a watch with their school uniform. If students wear jewellery that is not permitted within the uniform policy they will be asked to remove their jewellery and it will be placed in an envelope for them to take home at the end of the week. If you have any questions about uniform the MCS Uniform Policy can be found here.

Primary Chapels and Assemblies

We are excited to begin our Primary Chapels and Assemblies next week, held in the MPC.

  • Primary Chapels will take place on Fridays from 1:40 -2:25pm during the odd term weeks and

  • Assemblies will take place on Fridays from 1:40 -2:25pm during the even term weeks.

All parents are warmly invited to join us for these occasions.

We are looking forward to a great year of working in partnership with you to give your child the best education possible.

Your Sincerely,

ree
