2023 Kindergarten Orientation

We have had an exciting week in the Primary Department and Tuesday was particularly exciting as we welcomed our new 2023 Kindergarten students at their orientation to Big School. The children enjoyed a morning of activities and stories with Mrs Patton, Mrs Wittenden and Mrs Dew in the Kindergarten classrooms, while their parents learned about everything they need to know with a child beginning their journey through MCS. It was lovely to have many continuing Prep families join us and we wish all the new families a very warm welcome to MCS.

K- 2 Learn To Swim

Our K - 2 students are all very excited to participate in Learn To Swim over the next few weeks. Information about our K-2 Learn To Swim Program was released through the new Parent Portal last week. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to develop their swimming skills in preparation for the Summer holidays. The K-2 Learn to Swim Program will take place from Monday, 14th November - Tuesday, 29th November. Please respond through the Parent Portal to give your child permission to participate

Prep Graduations

It is hard to believe that the end of the year is getting closer and our Prep students will be graduating from the Early Childhood setting and heading off to Big School. In order to celebrate this very significant occasion in the education of our students we would like to invite their parents to join us at the following events:

Thursday/Friday Class Graduation

When: Friday, 18th November

Where: The Lighthouse Foyer

Time: 9:30 - 10:30am

Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday Class Graduation

When: Wednesday, 23rd November

Where: The Lighthouse Foyer

Time: 9:30-10:30am

Medowie’s Got Talent & You're Invited to Join Us!

It has been lovely to see the enthusiasm of our students as they have showcased their talents in our Medowie’s Got Talent heats over the last 2 days. For photos of our talented performers, visit our 'Music News'.

We warmly invite parents to join us for the Medowie’s Got Talent Finale. This will take place next Friday, 18th November from 1:40 - 3:10pm in the Lighthouse. Come prepared for a real treat as we see the gifts that God has given our students in action.

Uniform

Socks can be a tricky part of the school uniform. It is easy for them to get lost in the wash or be slow to come through the washing cycle. Unfortunately we are experiencing many students not wearing the correct socks to school. A reminder that during the Summer girls should wear plain white fold down ankle socks with their tunic and sport uniform and boys should wear fold down grey ankle socks with their formal uniform and fold down plain white socks with their sport uniform. School socks should not have patterns or pictures on them. We thank parents for their support in maintaining a high standard of school uniform.
