T4, Week 6

Prep Presentation

Congratulations to our Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday Prep students who were presented with their 2025 Learning Portfolios on Tuesday. It was lovely to have their parents join us to share this very special occasion and to watch our Prep students perform some entertaining items. We look forward to seeing them continue their educational journey into Kindergarten in 2026.

Gifts of Gratitude

Students have brought home a Gift of Gratitude flyer this week. We ask that you please purchase a small treat food item and a juice or water for your child to place under the class Christmas tree. These gifts will be exchanged on the afternoon of the class party and enjoyed while the students watch a Christmas movie. Please ensure all Gifts of Gratitude are handed to class teachers by Friday, 28th November.

If you would like your child to go home with someone other than yourself please email MCSstudentservices@acc.edu.au and also copy in your child’s class teacher. Please be patient as we sign out multiple families at this time.

Wed 3rd Dec - Final Fun Day

Please note that this year the Infants and Upper Primary Fun Days will be held in different locations. All Primary students will come to school as normal in the morning. Prep - Year 2 students will be bused offsite for their Christmas Fun Day and Year 3- Year 6 will engage with activities onsite at MCS.

The details of this event have been sent through the Sentral Parent App. Please ensure that you log on to the app and give permission for your child to attend. This event will depart MCS at 9am and return by 2pm. At the conclusion of this event families are welcome to take their children home. Please ensure that you sign them out with Mrs Flemming who will be responsible for the rolls on the day.

Year 3 - 6 Fun Day

This event will occur onsite at MCS between normal school hours 8:50am and 3:10pm. Students will be involved in a rotation of water activities and laser tag. Following lunch, classes will exchange their Gifts of Gratitude and watch a Christmas movie.

Bring: Swimmers, towel, MCS broadbrim hat, sunscreen, thongs or crocs for water play only (students must wear normal joggers at all other times on the day).

Clubs

Week 7 will be the last week for Primary Clubs for 2025. Afternoon Basketball Club has already concluded. If your child has a bike stored at school please organise to pick this up from the school following Bike Club on Thursday. The Christmas break is a great time to do some maintenance on your child’s bike ready for Bike Club in 2026.

I wish everyone a restful weekend with their families.
