HRIS Primary Chess Tournament

Congratulations to our Primary Chess Team who competed at the HRIS Chess Tournament last Friday, 31st of October. Our team have worked hard training for this event all year during their lunch time club and it has really paid off with some great achievements on the day. We are especially proud of our Juniors One Team who came runners up in the competition and are excited to see the great skills that our students have developed under the coaching and mentorship of Mr Jenkins. A big thank you goes to Mr Jenkins for all the work he has put into Chess this year. We also thank Mr Jenkins and Mrs George for supporting our students on the day.

HRIS Primary Basketball Tournament

Congratulations to our Stage 2 Basketball Teams who represented MCS admirably at the HRIS Basketball Tournament this Tuesday, 4th November. Their hard work throughout the year training at their afternoon Basketball Club really paid off with everyone displaying great basketball skills and our girls’ team winning two out of five games. Thank you to Mrs Garner for all the work she has put into training these teams and to both Mrs Garner and Mr Pullen for supporting them on the day.

Prep Orientation

MCS were excited to welcome our 2026 Prep students to their orientation afternoon this Wednesday, 5th November. It was lovely to have them and their parents join us for an afternoon of play and getting to know each other. While our new Prep students enjoyed each other’s company while they explored the Prep playground under the watchful eye of Mrs Hill and Mrs Collins, the parents were treated to an information session with Mrs Inwood and Mrs Dew in order to learn about everything they need to know as Prep parents. We look forward to having these students join us as our youngest learners in 2026.
