Book Week

It has been an exciting week in the Primary Department as the students have been busy engaging in learning experiences designed to help them develop a love of great literature. I have really enjoyed walking through the classrooms and seeing the excited faces of students who have been participating in book trivia, colouring competitions and shopping at the Scholastic Book Fair.

It was also lovely to have a sneak peak at the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday Prep Group Book Parade in preparation for the big event on Friday.

Prep 2023 Orientation Afternoon

We spent a lovely afternoon on Tuesday welcoming our 2023 Prep students and their families to MCS. The children had an enjoyable afternoon exploring the Prep playground while the parents enjoyed an information session in the Prep classroom. A big thank you goes to Mrs Herd and Mrs Dew for all their work to organise this enjoyable afternoon. We look forward to having these families join MCS in 2023.

We still have some spaces in our Prep program for 2023, so if you know of anyone looking for an excellent school readiness, play-based learning program, encourage them to Apply as soon as possible to avoid missing out.

Kindergarten 2023 Orientation Tuesday 8th November

We are excited to announce that our Kindergarten 2023 Orientation will take place on Tuesday, 8th November from 9:30am - 11:30am. 2023 Kindergarten students and their families are invited to join us on this morning to become familiar with Kindergarten routines and experience a sneak peak of the learning adventure they have in front of them. The children will spend time in the Kindergarten classrooms with the Kindergarten teachers and during this time we invite parents to join some key staff in the staffroom to find out everything you need to know for Kindergarten 2023.

More information will be sent direct to families next week.

Summer Uniform

Thank you to all the parents who continue to support our uniform policy. We greatly appreciate you helping your children to be part of a community, dressed ready to learn.

Just a reminder that students are required to wear ankle socks that can be folded over. We ask that socks with patterns or images are not worn with the school uniform.

In order to protect our children from the sun we ask that students wear their navy blue school broadbrim hat whenever they are outside the classroom. For further information our Uniform Policy can be found here.

I wish all our families a restful weekend.

Regards,

ree
